**Sardines that care**

SARDINES’ BRAND THAT CARES FOR YOU…

Competition is the hardest battle in achieving a company’s goal; those who fail are seeing only the reality and those who succeed believe to impossible. If that’s so, how are we going to get things out of the real world? There’s only one and just an answer to this struggle, that’s positioning, meaning you have to position the product in the mind of prospects or consumers. The new title of the game battling for attention of the consumers amidst the existence of different products, particularly those in can.

The only way to win is uniqueness and quality, and what would be the best standard to measure the term “quality”? It does not mean a single thing; in fact it includes the quality of the raw materials, the processing, and the nutritional contents of the canned goods being offered to the market.

Mention about canned goods, we often think those as substitute for dishes that needs time for cooking and preparation. To be in particular, sardines are the most convenient and cheapest among those because it can be cooked in different ways compared to others. My trust and admiration to this brand (I’m proud to say that its Mega sardines) gets bigger when I saw in one episode of Matanglawin, a science-oriented program the “catching to canning” process that takes less than 12 hours, it only means that the raw materials are guaranteed fresh which ensures the potency of Omega-3 acid that helps maintain a healthy heart. Mega sardines’ manufacturer uses high technology processing equipments, from the vessels up to the processing plants whereby sardines are being made and sealed. Another distinct characteristic of Mega making is the standardized procedures which are important in securing health of the consumers during processing.

Through the program hosted by Kuya Kim Atienza, I realized that making sardines is not just earning money, company within this business must have considerations to their consumers; an advance result must be foreseen. I was also fascinated with their processing procedures, neatness of equipments; workers and place that are very pleasant to see. Mega sardines are the only brand that has the gut to show the entire processing of sardines making. Kung ako ang tatanungin kung bakit, perhaps its because this company wants consumers to be informed that there products are safe not just clean. Besides, featuring food processing in television especially to the trusted station means only that the product is also trusted since leading network won’t allow the company if their reputation to the public will be destroyed.
